Elaine

Born and raised in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco, Elaine graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from University of Santa Cruz and later on received her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University of California. Growing up, Elaine’s passion has always been to help people in need which sparked her interest in pursuing a career that could improve people’s lives through meaningful activities. Elaine has over seven years of experience providing care for children who have special needs. She always knew she would be working in a pediatric setting throughout her occupational therapy program. She has experience working in early intervention and school districts in the Bay Area. Currently, Elaine is working in both school-based and outpatient pediatric settings. She enjoys implementing the Handwriting Without Tears program and Zones of Regulation. She loves that she is working on functional skills with children through play and activities of interest.

Elaine currently lives in San Francisco with her quarantine special needs cat named Sumi. Elaine enjoys exercising, arts and crafts, delicious food, and exploring hidden gems in her native city.
